We pinpointed three takeaways from the show. 1. Jared Leto Wears Women's Jeans at Chanel CoutureWe have to hand it to Leto—the man's fashion knows no bounds. He gave a pair of women's tweed denim skinnies (from the Chanel pre-fall 2014 collection) a cavalier spin by teaming them with a graphic tee, a chambray shirt and cowboy boots, complete with his signature ombre strands, too-cool aviators, and facial scruff. We're calling it: Rocker couture du jour. Catwalking/Getty Images 2. Dresses Over Shorts Are the Next Big ThingThanks to Lagerfeld's say-so, dress-and-pant combos (or in this case, shorts) are officially in. A parade of zippy A-line dresses and coatdresses were layered over coordinating shorts (that had us reminiscing of biker shorts in their heyday). And they weren't isolated instances, either—the majority of the collection's 70 looks were rendered in rich jacquard, tweed, or sprinkled with embellishments. Just two days prior at the Atelier Versace fall/winter 2014 show, Donatella layered gowns over one-leg pants and even fashioned a new silhouette when she fused gowns and pants. You heard it here first—dresses-and-pants are all the rage. Catwalking/Getty Images 3. Kendall Jenner Makes Her Couture DebutThe younger half-sister to the Kardashian clan had a successful run earlier this year when she landed coveted spots in the fall/winter 2014 line-up of prestigious shows (including the likes of Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, and Chanel). And she's back in business, having booked the ultimate gig at Chanel Haute Couture. Jenner walked the show outfitted in a feathery plaid number, topped with a punky spiked 'do, but not before she 'grammed the moment and captioned it "birdies backstage #Chanel Couture."
