To accept her 10th annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival gala last night, Fonda pulled off an elegant sleeved jumpsuit by Elie Saab in a startling moss green. Naturally, with decades in the industry, Fonda drew plenty of famous admirers. Diane Lane, in a fresh, beaded and hibiscus-printed column, and Elizabeth Banks, who wore a sparkling embellished red dress, were among the guests that mingled at the posh Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara for the event. WireImage Banks later took the stage to praise Fonda for her art and activism, while also giving the famed actress a shoutout as a strong woman in Hollywood. She's a "walking celebration of feminity and power," Banks said of Fonda, adding that she's a big 9 to 5 fan. Lane, then followed up Banks, with this to say: Fonda inspires both courage and honesty.
