Jamie Lynn Spears is ready to step back into the limelight with a new hourlong special on TLC. This will be the actress and singer’s first television show since her Nickelodeon series Zoey 101 ended in 2008, following her announcement of being pregnant at age 16.

In Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out, Spears will let viewers in on how the media reactions to her teenage pregnancy have affected her, and also tell her current story of finding her way as a country music artist. The special will culminate in her performance at the Grand Ole Opry, where her sister Britney introduced her to the stage.

“I’m not just a child star, and I’m not just someone’s sister, and I’m not just a teen mom,” Spears says in the trailer for the special. “For the first time, this is the real story.”
