James Franco and Nick Jonas Evoke Brotherly Love at the N.Y.C. Premiere of Goat
If you’ve never heard of Goat, let’s just say the newly released tale of harsh fraternity pledging is definitely not for the faint of heart. Its stars, however, are what we like to call eye candy.
That’s why New York’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema felt especially sweet on Monday evening as James Franco and Nick Jonas, who each portray lead characters in the flick, stepped onto the red carpet for the premiere of their hazing-focused movie. Also starring Ben Schnetzer, the story is based on Brad Land’s memoir of the same name, which focuses on rough college rituals, the reason some scenes in particular were tough to film.
“It’s not real, but in a sense, you’re actually putting them through the same things that the pledges are doing, more or less,” Franco told InStyle of the intense moments on set. And while you’ll have to watch the movie to see just how far it goes, Franco, as usual, managed to turn heads as he arrived in a baby blue satin bomber jacket with black jeans and white sneakers. He later posed with Jonas, also in a sleek jacket and similar separates.
As for whether Jonas has stormed a degree of hazing-like activity in Hollywood, it’s just a part of the job. “I’ve had a decent amount of bullying to a certain degree, or being judged unfairly,” he told reporters, moving on to explain that it comes with the A-list territory.
You’re a winner in our eyes, Nick.
