Carpool Karaoke without James Corden? It's happening.

The host of The Late Late Show is stepping aside to make way for a long list of celebrities to come in and take the wheel for the hit segment's upcoming Apple Music spin-off series, though Corden will still take on hosting duties for at least one episode. The others will be hosted by a star-studded list of famous faces, including Billy Eichner, Chelsea Handler, and John Legend.

What else will be different? The series won't be filmed solely in the car. Corden and executive producers Ben Winston and Eric Pankowski shared the news at the Television Critics Association today, saying that it would be "silly" to try and duplicate the success of the format that the British host has perfected.

If you're slightly upset by the changes, don't fret. Several of the pairings have already been released, and to say we can't wait to watch would be an understatement. John Legend will be joined by Alicia Keys, Seth MacFarlane will host with guest Ariana Grande, Chelsea Handler will hit the road with Blake Shelton, Billy Eichner will sing alongside Metalica, and Corden will lead an episode with Will Smith.

The 16-episode show will stream on Apple Music and be the platform's first original series—the premiere date has not yet been announced.
