Jake Gyllenhaal is a bonafide heartthrob in and of himself, but on Monday night the actor proved that yes, he can get hotter when he threw out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game. But it wasn't just his curveball that impressed us—it was his baby-handling skills.

Gyllenhaal stopped by Fenway Park in Beantown, where he and Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman threw out the opening pitch for the Red Sox and Blue Jays game. And while that was touching on its own, what really tugged at our heartstrings was when the actor cradled Bauman's daughter, Nora, before the game. Jake Gyllenhaal plus a baby? Swoon.

Gyllenhaal is portraying Bauman in his forthcoming film, Stronger. The longtime Boston resident lost both his legs in the 2013 terrorist attacks, and went on to write a memoir, marry, and have a daughter. The film will focus more on his recovery than on the bombings, and is currently in production in Boston.
