The worlds of politics and reality TV can't seem to stop colliding. Exhibit A: Kim Kardashian West and President Donald Trump's rendezvous at the White House.
When Kardashian went to Washington, D.C. this week, she met face-to-face with Trump for a surprising reason. While the interaction certainly fueled conversation (and eyebrow-raising Oval Office pics), it wasn't her only pit stop.
Kardashian swung by First Daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner's house while she was in the neighborhood, and there's photographic proof, courtesy of the Daily Mail.
While the exact contents of the meeting aren't public, we've got a pretty good guess as to why she thought it was important to meet Ivanka and Jared in person.
The reason Kardashian visited our nation's capital in the first place was to fight for clemency for 62-year-old Alice Johnson, who is serving a life sentence for a non-violent drug offense. As it turns out, Kardashian and Kushner have met before to talk about criminal justice reform bills.
“Jared Kushner, who I’ve spoke to, has been really working on some criminal justice reform bills and I would love to sit and talk to them,” she said to Mic last month. “I know they are internally talking about it, so that’s such a huge step from where we started with that not even being on their radar.”
Was Kim K's visit ultimately for a political discussion? That's likely, but there's no denying it was one memorable reality star reunion.
