InStyle Is Turning 20! Come Celebrate With Us

This year marks 20 years since InStyle published its first issue, featuring a then-52-year-old Barbra Streisand at home in Malibu. And, like any 20-year-old, we’ve changed quite a bit since then. (As you can see from the above behind-the-scenes snap from our August 2013 photo shoot with Olivia Wilde.) We’ve interviewed hundreds more celebrities and pinpointed thousands of must-have beauty and fashion trends, acquiring millions of loyal fans along the way who flock to us each month on newsstands and daily on the web, Facebook, and Twitter.

Because of that devotion, we’re inviting you to take part in our yearlong celebration. Today we’re launching a special site dedicated to all things 20—the 20 best red lip looks, the 20 best dresses worn by Oscar winners, and more. Plus, we’re taking a look back with photo galleries showing off our 20 favorite Men of Style, the 20 greatest moments from our one-time “Oscar at Home” feature, and a collection of all of our InStyle covers—from that first one back in June 1994 until now.
