She's played damsels, super heroes and love interests. But Jessica Alba's latest role will put her on a new screen: your monitor. Named Piperlime's newest guest editor (other editors include Rachel Zoe and Olivia Palermo), the actress celebrated the gig at the site's SoHo store last night with cocktails, music and racks of clothes from which to shop. But don't think Alba's constantly in a fitting room. "I’m not so into shopping all the time because I hate trying clothes on," the actress admitted to InStyle.com during an intimate group interview pre-bash. "But I love putting together outfits. I’ve been doing it since I was little." And while Alba's style has gone through the '90s fads (baby tees, crop tops and more, she told reporters), she's proud of its progress. "It’s not as embarrassing as it used to be," she said. "I feel like I’m a lot more like funky. I’m not as self-conscious." It's that hard-earned confidence she'll take to Piperlime this season as she doles out style advice and curates her favorites. "My expectations are really low!" Alba joked on what she hopes she'll bring. "It’s just really fun!"
