Dressed in a long-sleeved sheer Paolo Sebastian design that she “was a little nervous about” thanks to its plunging deep-V design, the young talent and daughter of Jamie Foxx proudly shined on stage, presenting trophies to some of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors. “I was so nervous for it!” she told us at the 2016 InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes after-party. “When I got on stage I felt so comfortable. I was able to enjoy it so much and really be in the moment.” One star was particularly welcoming. “All the presenters were so nice to me. Melissa McCarthy said, ‘You’re beautiful. You’re fantastic.’ Which was so sweet!” Inside the party, Foxx, who arrived with best friend Taylor Poe, also gushed over meeting 10-year-old Room star Jacob Tremblay. “I told him, ‘You are special,’” she said, adding that she witnessed the reactions of A-list stars just moments before Ricky Gervais hilariously introduced them to the stage. “Then I went into the green room. It was like a party back there—all the celebrities. It was crazy. I loved the Jennifer Lawrence press one. She’s like, 'Oh my God. I don’t even know what I said. I was so nervous.'” Inside the InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party Foxx, who was planning on rushing home to remove her makeup and take on “five plates of chicken tenders and fries” once the festivities ended, also opened up about how her father’s reaction to her glitzy debut. “He was so teary eyed, very emotional the whole time. So proud,” she admitted. As for his unforgettable tribute to Steve Harvey’s unfortunate Miss Universe announcement, it’s just what dad does best. “My dad cannot stick to a teleprompter. I was like, ‘Dad! Just read the teleprompter!'” she said. “He’s so funny. At a certain point like that, OK, got to keep rolling.” And rolling into the night she went.
