Vikander, who rocked an orange Louis Vuitton dress to the fete, said she was still “trying to get used to” everything that comes with awards season, but added, “with all these events, it’s been suddenly wonderful to be introduced in rooms to meet actors and filmmakers and people behind the camera that I’ve looked up to my entire life… I’m so proud of the films and people I get to work with.” Her Danish Girl co-star Redmayne gave her a bit of advice that has helped through her first awards season, with the Oscar-winner telling her to just “enjoy it because it is pretty wonderful.” That sense of appreciation and humility was echoed throughout the day. Rachel McAdams, whose sparkly peach Prada dress was so stunning that reporters gasped as she walked in the room, gushed about what it meant to her bring reporter Sacha Pfeiffer, whom she plays in Spotlight, along to red carpets with her. “I feel so lucky that I got to play her,” McAdams told reporters. “I owe this nomination to her entirely, and I hope that we continue to tell the stories of great women out there… she cares about other people’s stories so much more than herself. So, it was nice to be able to put her up on a pedestal for once.” Brooklyn Star Saoirse Ronan Is Honored at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival Meanwhile, Rooney Mara, who was nominated for the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2012, called being nominated again a “huge honor.” Other nominees at the private luncheon included Leonardo DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, Sylvester Stallone, Saoirse Ronan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jennifer Lawrence, and many more.
