Step Into The Hunger Games's Panem Style with Capitol Couture's Must-See Fashion Shoot
Anticipation for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2 is bursting at the seams and while we can’t wait to see Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen wield her bow and arrow once again, it’s the fashion that we’re also biting our nails for. That’s exactly why Capitol Couture, the fictional digital magazine dedicated to bringing Panem denizens (and IRL fans) a closer look at all things style, completely stepped it up several notches for its final blowout issue dubbed Ultima Volatus (or Final Flight).
Photographed by dark-themed lensman Steven Klein and under the creative direction of New York City event producer Susanne Bartsch, the images showcase model Hannah Davis in a warrior-like ensemble that’s reflective of what the women of Panem love to rock. For the shoot, which was pieced together in partnership with Samsung, Davis proudly slips into a pair of skin-tight leather pants and pairs them with buckle-adorned, chunky booties. The beauty is seen with a larger-than-life fur stole with similar, nature-themed jewels and also rocks an oversize feather headdress. She also gives Everdeen a run for her money with padded leather shoulder pads that are perfect for battle.
