One of the biggest challenges of changing up your wardrobe from one season to the next can be trying to find the perfect layering piece to act as a buffer for those often-unruly temperature changes. But alas, there’s an easy way to swap out the winter coats and boots for lighter seasonal pieces while the weather is still cool (after all, it's not quite time to go sleeveless just yet).

Enter, the transition piece. One of my favorites is a classic oversized knit. It’s my go-to on the weekends. I knew when I saw these Rag & Bone sweaters at the spring show that a varsity knit would give me an easy update.

So I did some digging and found this adorable DKNY knit for under $200. The trick to pulling off this piece without feeling like my look is under-styled?  I am going to wear it now with a paper thin white cotton t-neck, skinny dark wash ankle  length denim and a men’s style brogue or bright suede pump (depending on my mood). When it warms, I will layer over a  silky knee length slip dress with a flat sporty sandal.

Take away tip? The sweater is youthful, so keep the rest of the look tailored and polished. Voila! You're ready to take on whatever weather may come your way this spring.
