Tom Brady just keeps embodying #familygoals. Regardless of how busy his schedule gets, the father of three makes sure to make his family a priority, even gushing over his reading time with his little ones.
"[The kids] always get a book before bed, sometimes two if they're nice to me!" the 38-year-old New England Patriots Quarterback told People. "It's such precious time—you don't want to rush those things."
As for his favorite books to read to his two youngest children, with Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen, the sports star can't get enough of Dr. Seuss books. "I love reading them!" he said, adding, "Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss... those are the ones that I love. I'm always like, 'Can I pick the book tonight?'" Things get tricky, though, when Brady tries to read them Portuguese books, admitting that he can't speak his wife's native tongue "at all!"
"We have a lot of Portuguese books in the house and those are ... funny!" he continued, adding, "My kids can [speak Portuguese], but I can't read it, so I probably screw up half the words. If they want to pick one of those books, they can, and that's one of the ones that I read. It's hard."
As for the other things he and his children with Bündchen—Benjamin, 6, and Vivian, 3—enjoy doing together, Brady said some of their best memories have happened on car rides to school. "We sing a lot!," he said, adding, "They love the song 'Radioactive.'" Still, while he makes the most of their time together, Brady still finds it challenging to balance work and family life. "[Sometimes] it's like when did you learn that?" he said. "Where and when did that happen and how can I freeze you in this moment right now so you don't get any older?!"
If anything captured those sentiments perfectly, it was a snap Bundchen took of her husband earlier this year that showed him cuddling their kids in a large armchair. "I can't handle it, so much love! #family #love #grateful," she captioned the photo.
Neither can we.
