How Robin Wright's Late Night at Studio 54 Lead to a Hilarious Mikhail Baryshnikov Encounter
Anyone who's anyone in Hollywood has an incredible Studio 54 story, and Robin Wright has one for the ages. The stunning 48-year-old House of Cards actress—who stopped by the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday to promote her new film A Most Wanted Man—recalled a high school class trip to New York City in which she snuck out the evening before with a friend and partied at the iconic Studio 54. There she "drank so many White Russians" that she passed up a visit to Lincoln Center with her classmates the next morning.
While nursing her hangover from the bus, Wright spotted her idol ballet star Mikhail Baryshnikov in a nearby coffee shop. Rather than get up the nerve to talk to the famous dancer, Wright instead opted to run by the window and do "a deer leap in front of him." Yep, as it turns out, drinking White Russians will give you the courage to perform for a world-class Russian dancer.
