For all the impressive plaits on the runways—a fishtail at Suno, elegant four-stranders at Donna Karan—Orlando Pita's "windswept and natural" French braid at Michael Kors (right) captured our boho hearts. The key to nailing the look? Leaving out enough strands in front to give what Pita calls a "bob" of loose waves. Before you start, make sure to apply lots of dry shampoo (we recommend Pita's Revive Instant Boost Dry Shampoo, $50; amazon.com) so strands have enough grip to keep that loose braid intact. And remember: Always secure the ends with a clear elastic. Scrunchies might be trending, but you don't want one here.
