On the heels of the sunny makeovers debuted by Gabrielle Union, Channing Tatum, and Julianne Moore, Ashley Greene has also joined the movement, revealing her golden highlights at the Los Angeles premiere of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. If the recent surge in blonde hairstyles has you wanting to lighten your strands, start swapping your current shampoos and conditioners for intense, hydrating formulas, as bleach can dry out your hair -- especially if you're starting with a dark base. "You can splurge on gorgeous salon highlights, but if your hair is dry, the color won't look good," said colorist Sharon Dorram, who has worked with Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker. To lock in hydration, she recommends coating your hair from mid-shaft to end with conditioner, and brushing through with a wide-tooth comb before rinsing. "It puts moisture back into the hair and gives it elasticity to keep it shiny and healthy." See more celebrity hair makeovers!
