Celebs including Amber Valletta, Kate Mara, and Camilla Belle came out Wednesday night to celebrate the launch at the H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection Dinner at Eveleigh in L.A. Set to hit stores April 10th, the new lines reveal H&M's continuing commitment to sustainable fashion. Both collections feature pieces made from more sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, Tencel, hemp, and other recycled textiles, and strive to bring eco-friendly fashion to the mainstream. For this year’s Conscious Exclusive collection, H&M is working in collaboration with the sustainable fashion and design think tank Ever Manifesto—made up of Elizabeth von Guttman and Alexia Niedzielski—which shares H&M’s commitment to a more sustainable future for fashion. The Conscious Exclusive collection is inspired by flamenco and bohemia, and will contain more dramatic and intricately detailed pieces, showcasing how beautiful sustainable materials can be. "We wanted to create a collection that was very sophisticated," Niedzielski tells InStyle. "We wanted to show that you don't have to compromise when it comes to great design and being responsible." Actress and model Amber Valetta is set to star in both Conscious campaigns, and couldn't be more excited to get behind the movement. "I love that I know these clothes were made responsibly and sustainably," Valletta tells us. "To me, it's kind of what's on the horizon. Clothes and accessories being made in a more responsible way is the biggest trend that we're going to see that will not go out of style." We couldn't agree more! "Sustainable fashion has been criticized for being too elitist," says Niedzielski. "I think with H&M, now, people can see that you don't have to compromise, and you can have great designs that are so affordable and made responsibly." H&M's Conscious and Conscious Exclusive collections will be available in select H&M stores worldwide and on hm.com starting April 10th.
