Hillary Clinton is officially the Democratic nominee for president of the United States. While all eyes were on her while she accepted her party’s nomination with a passionate and monumental speech Thursday night, the presidential hopeful made a statement in more ways than one.

After wearing both red and blue suits at earlier times during the four-day Democratic National Convention, Clinton went with an unexpected choice and donned a crisp all-white pantsuit for her big moment on the stage. The presidential nominee paired the suit with a crewneck white blouse, neutral kitten-heeled pumps, and simple stud earrings, keeping the attention on her powerful words when she took the stage and became the first female presidential nominee for a major party.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Clinton has used a pantsuit to make a statement. The unofficial queen of colorful suits has rocked monochrome ensembles in seemingly every color of the rainbow throughout her career in politics, refusing to be put in the box of a traditional First Lady.
