Hilary Duff ended 2019 with one her shortest haircuts, ever, but she's starting 2020 with a fresh new look courtesy celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri. Duff debuted new long lengths on Instagram, tagging the stylist and offering up a cheeky joke asking her just how she managed to get her short chop to grow seemingly overnight.

"Whoa @riawna how'd you make my hair grow like this over night??? Cool trick cool trick," Duff wrote. The snapshot shows Duff in full '90s glory, wearing white combat boots, high-waisted plaid pants, and, of course, features her new super-long hair. The long extensions go down Duff's chest, which is a drastic change from her shoulder-grazing bob from last December.

"Do you regret, that you cut your hair?" one commenter asked. Duff replied, "Always haha but I still do it almost yearly." Another quoted Ariana Grande's "7 Rings," writing, "You like my hair gee thanks just bought it." Duff agreed, saying, "Exactly."

The change could be for Disney+'s Lizzie McGuire reboot, though reports have surfaced that the production has hit a few hurdles. Back in the show's heyday, Duff had a variety of styles, so the character could be following suit this time around. Thanks to the magic of television and hair extensions, there's no telling what's in store for fans of Duff, Lizzie, and, naturally, ever-changing celebrity hairstyles.
