Helen Mirren Goes Geek Chic for the School of Rock Broadway Premiere

We've gotten pretty used to seeing the elegant Helen Mirren wearing glamorous dresses and ball gowns fit for a queen. But one of our favorite leading ladies decided to switch things up and really throw us for a loop during the Broadway premiere of School of Rock on Sunday evening.

The English actress literally gave us a lesson in geek chic as she stepped out with a look that would rival any school girl's. The 70-year-old actress earned an A+ for her smart ensemble, which featured a blazer paired with a white button-down with a loose purple tie. Even her black flare midiskirt with its cobalt blue belt was schoolgirl-appropriate, matched with dark stockings and black ankle strap shoes. Mirren topped off her uniform with a navy hand bang, proving you're never too old to learn a new lesson.
