From sexy statement backs to gorgeous sequin numbers, the red carpet at the Golden Globes was nothing short of spectacular, but one of the top contenders for trends of the night? Stars in pale gold and shimmery silver dresses. Naomi Watts upped the ante from last year's burgundy Zac Posen gown in a silvery Tom Ford gown with a chunky gold necklace, while House of Cards' star Kate Mara shined bright in J. Mendel. Recently engaged Robin Wright, who brought a good luck charm along for the evening (it worked, she took home the award for best performance by an actress in a television series, drama!) glistened in Reem Acra. "I just saw it and thought, 'I am going to try it and go with it!'" she told InStyle. But it wasn't just these leading ladies that opted for metallic; stars including Mila Kunis, Sarah Paulson, and Michelle Dockery all wore various shades of the trend.
