Harry Styles, a man whose singing voice gives me a watermelon sugar high, if you will, is capable of wearing the frilliest blouses without looking like he's wearing the Seinfeld pirate shirt. His dainty pearl necklace makes me want to clutch (steal) my mother's pearls, and to top it all off, he's also very, very good at manicures.

Styles' relationship with nail polish dates back to 2016, when he was spotted with glossy jet black nails at a party celebrating his AnOther Man magazine cover. But the 2019 Met Gala was the turning point for his manicures. As co-chair, he fully leaned into the Camp theme with a black and turquoise manicure. Then throughout the rest of 2019 it seemed like Styles was doing his nails every other week. He updated classic black nail polish with glitter, embraced the year's Skittles nail trend on SNL, and his Fine Line-themed nails broke the internet.

In 2020 so far, Styles has stuck with classic red and black manicures. However, spring is upon us, and it seems like even he can't avoid the sudden, inexplicable urge to switch up his winter nail polish colors for a shade that's more seasonally-appropriate: lavender.

Styles chose to paint his nails this color for the 2020 Brit Awards on Feb. 18 in London. But what's more impressive than how he coordinated his spring manicure with his purple marbled Gucci sweater and the violet bow he wore with his canary yellow Marc Jacobs suit, is that his lavender nail polish is still going strong. Styles wore the same nail polish color a week later for his Today Show appearance in New York on Feb. 26.

Once again, Styles has demonstrated the verstaility of the nail polish shade. Only this time, he paired his lavender nails with a blush pink suit jacket, royal blue shirt, back-and-white polka dot tie, and egglplant trousers.

Styles' exact lavender nail polish shade remains a mystery, but may I suggest the following five long-wear options? I also recommend finishing things off with a shiny top coat like my favorite one from Sally Hansen to keep your lavendar nail polish from chipping off.

As reported by Popsugar, Styles goes through essie's iconic turquoise Mint Candy Apple nail polish faster than any other color. Luckily, the brand makes a killer cool-toned lavender, too. Bonus: The shade has a subtle shimmery finish.
