Harry Styles Chops His Famous Locks in This New Apple Documentary Promo
It was the chop heard 'round the world and now we have behind-the-scenes footage of the moment Harry Styles said goodbye to his signature long locks. Spoiler: There was no bright flash of light or booming voice from the heavens. Bummer. But the significance of the moment in Styles's life is certainly evident.
The now-famous haircut is featured in Apple Music's upcoming film, Harry Styles: Behind the Album, which documents Styles's transformation from One Direction heartthrob to actor and legitimate solo singer. A promo for the movie released on Tuesday offers a 30-second glimpse at the path to the 23-year-old's self-titled solo debut—pony snip included.
As for how he felt about ditching his tresses, the handsome Brit did offer a bit of insight during an appearance on BBC Radio One last month. Styles told host Nick Grimshaw that getting rid of his long, tousled hair wasn't exactly a breeze. "Did you feel like Christian Bale in The Machinist when he had to lose all that weight?" Grimshaw asked, referring to reports that Styles was forced to cut his hair for his role in Dunkirk.
"Just losin' the hair? A little bit. I felt very naked for a while," he replied.
For what it's worth, Harry, we think you look great.
