It’s Jane Fonda’s birthday! The legendary model and actress turns 77 today and isn’t slowing down any time soon. The two-time Academy Award winner got her start on Broadway in There Was a Little Girl, and rose to fame on the screen in the 1960s, later winning Best Actress golden statues for Klute and Coming Home. More recently, the ageless beauty has starred in Monster-in-Law, The Newsroom, and This is Where I Leave You.

In 1982 she became the queen of workout videos when her first one became a best-selling hit and is celebrating the launch of her new workout DVD this year (you go girl!). As a political activist, Fonda famously opposed the Vietnam War and co-founded the Women’s Media Center with Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem. The Nine to Five star was recently honored at the 42nd AFI Life Achievement Award gala for her career of diverse roles – which is still going strong with more upcoming projects. She told InStyle her advice to her younger self is "To be more self-aware." We'll take it!
