Happy Birthday, Janet Jackson! The actress-turned-singer, who turns 48 today, kicked off her career as a pre-teen, starring in the '70s TV series, Good Times. After a few years on the small screen, Jackson turned her talents to the studio, recording her first self-titled album in 1982--and the rest is history. To date, the star has released 10 albums, and has even transitioned into film; she made her film debut in 1993 with Poetic Justice, which earned her Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her original song, "Again." We've also seen Ms. Jackson exercise her comedic timing in The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, and give a heart-wrenching performance in Why Did I Get Married? It's been a long and exciting road for the youngest of the Jackson clan, and there is no sign of stopping! The singer's longtime producer, Jimmy Jam, recently hinted at Jackson's return to the stage. We can't wait!
