Happy 38th birthday, Reese Witherspoon! The Oscar-winning actress—who can always be counted on to look stunning on the red carpet (like she did when she rocked a sleek bob and stunning Calvin Klein gown at the Golden Globe Awards in January)—has plenty keeping her busy these days. The mom of three (to daughter Ava and son Deacon with Ryan Phillippe and 18-month-old son Tennessee James with husband Jim Toth) is a board member for the Children’s Defense Fund, a non-profit child advocacy organization and Avon’s first Global Ambassador as well as the Honorary Chairperson of the Avon Foundation for Women.

On the movie front, Reese—who runs the production company Pacific Standard—stars in the upcoming movie Wild, based on the 2012 best-selling memoir by Cheryl Strayed about her 1,100-mile solo hike on the Pacific Coast Trail and has a tour de force role as a grieving mom in Devil’s Knot, based on the true story of the teens known as the West Memphis Three who were found guilty of murdering three young boys.

She’ll also team up again with her Walk the Line co-star Joaquin Phoenix in the upcoming crime drama Inherent Vice. In fact, Reese’s role as June Carter Cash in 2005's Walk the Line, which earned her a Best Actress Oscar, led to a recent duet with crooner Michael Buble: He was so impressed with her vocal chops that he asked her to sing with him on the song "Something Stupid" from his album To Be Loved.
