If you couldn’t care less about Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and everything that has to do with The Force, here’s a reason to catch up on the latest installment of the Star Wars franchise: the hotties.
True, you might not come across a sex bomb like Jake Gyllenhaal or Bradley Cooper in the series, but the franchise does include its fair share of devilishly handsome gents that are easy on the eyes. We're talking about Harrison Ford.
The actor originally portrayed Han Solo in director George Lucas’s first 1977 installment, Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope. Back then, the 35-year-old star embodied a hero, waving his messy locks in your face and swooping in to save the day. At 75, Ford’s still got it.
Which brings us to the new Han Solo, Alden Ehrenreich. Director Ron Howard is introducing his spinoff film, Solo: A Star Wars Story, to the world on Friday, and Ehrenreich, 28, picks up right where Ford left off. According to IMDB, “Han Solo meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian [played by Donald Glover in the new flick] years before joining the Rebellion” in the film.
Chewbacca aside, we couldn’t help but notice how cute Ehrenreich, like Ford, really is.
The L.A. born, all-American heartthrob may not yet be considered a household name, but just wait. Fans may recognize him from roles in Hail, Caesar!, Beautiful Creatures, Tetro, and better-known titles like Blue Jasmine, however, we’ve decided to put his talent momentarily aside and instead focus on his unquestionable good looks.
How does he live up to Ford’s portrayal of Mr. Solo? Aesthetically, he’s giving us what we want. Like Ford, Ehrenreich delivers that too-cool-to-care smirk along with—at least from the photos we’ve seen—a confident walk that suddenly finds you wanting to date guys who wield intergalactic weapons.
He’s got that profile smize down pat, not to mention the hair, which is parted down the middle like just Ford's.
Throw in his unbuttoned shirts, his dirty skin (they both seem to sweat a lot), plus that pronounced Adam’s apple and we’ve got ourselves a silverscreen winner.
Suddenly, we’re deeply invested in what happened a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
