Halle Berry Paid Homage to Her First Golden Globes with a Thigh-High Slit
If anyone knows how to make a red carpet splash, it’s Halle Berry. She’s been killin’ it in couture since the early ‘90s and, nomination or not, she always looks #iconic.
Berry, 52, walked (and can-canned?) her inaugural Golden Globes red carpet in 1997, wearing a beauty queen-approved voluminous up-do and a shimmering patterned halter gown with a thigh-baring slit up its left seam.
22 years and 11 Globes carpets later, the mother of two is not only the proud owner of a Golden Globe, Oscar, and two Emmys, but she’s the reigning queen of awards show style.
Last year she looked positively radiant at the Time’s Up-influenced ceremony in a plunging (and totally sheer) black lace Zuhair Murad minidress.
This year, Berry threw it back to her first Globes, rolling up to the Beverly Hilton in a plunging maroon multi-textured lace gown with a thigh-high slit. The Oscar winner complemented her show-stopping dress with a pair of black sandals and geometric silver earrings.
We have only one word for this one-of-a-kind garment: WOW.
