Despite literally picture-perfect appearances, not everything is always coming up rosy for newlywed model Hailey Baldwin.

As part of her resolution to "be more open" in 2019, the 23-year-old opened up to fans on Sunday with an emotional message about how “insecure” she feels despite leading such a blessed life. Along with the lengthy caption, Baldwin also shared a photo of herself smiling as she throws up a peace sign.

“I want to be more open about the things I struggle with, and be able to be more vulnerable,” she wrote. “I’m a 22 year old, and the truth is no matter how amazing life my looks from the outside I struggle … I’m insecure, I’m fragile, I’m hurting, I have fears, I have anxiety, I get sad, I get angry.”

Rather relatably, she added that she struggles with comparing herself to others.

“I have had more days than I can count where I’ve found myself scrolling through Instagram comparing myself, comparing my looks, feeling like I’m not good enough feeling like I lack so many things and really struggling to be confident in who I am because I constantly feel like I’m just not good enough,” she admitted.

Though, let it be clear — Baldwin says she’s not asking for a “pity party,” she just wants her fans to know that she’s human, too.

“I’m a young woman, I’m learning who I am and, it’s REALLY FREAKING HARD,” she continued. “It’s hard finding who you are, but what’s even harder is being picked apart and compared to other women while trying to do that. There are days that I’m simply broken because of it.”

"We ALL have flaws, and that will never change. What I do know is, God made us individuals for a reason, with our own beauty, our own personalities, and our own story because there’s a specific plan and purpose for each and every human created and he makes no mistakes!!” she wrote.

It appears that the Biebs, 24, in on board with her new outlook for the year, writing, “This is beautiful hun,” in the comments section. Millie Bobby Brown and Patrick Schwarzenegger also left sweet responses, according to ET Online.

This is far from the first time the model has been vocal about her struggles with social media. Back in December, Baldwin revealed that she needed to take a social media break after she felt critics were “trying to tear apart” her relationship with the 24-year-old, who she married in September of last year.

It’s far from easy opening up so publicly about your issues, so props to Hailey for being so honest.
