We Finally Have Photos of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Valentino Wedding Gown, and They’re Everything
Despite being an Academy Award winning A-lister who is used to the limelight, Gwyneth Paltrow kept her wedding to Brad Falchuk very hush hush. The two were engaged for an entire year before anyone knew it, and when they finally said "I do" on September 29, there was not one glimpse of the festivities — until now.
Paltrow released the first photos from her intimate wedding, including a picture of her wedding gown by Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, and let's just say she couldn't look happier.
Guests included Nicole Richie, Benji Madden and Robert Downey Jr., as well as kids Apple and Moses Martin (from Paltrow's first marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin) and her famous mom, Blythe Danner. In a post on her company goop's website, Paltrow's special day with Falchuk was finally given the spotlight.
"September 29 was a bright fall day in New York — sunny and cool with a crispness in the air. In other words, the gods complied on GP’s wedding day. Seventy guests descended on Amagansett to bear witness and raise a glass to GP and her groom, Brad Falchuk," the website read.
"The revelry started the night before with a rehearsal dinner, where wedding guests dined alfresco under a canopy of bistro lights. And for the big day: perfect weather, a superlative dinner, a dance party for the ages, and a dress that defies adjectives. Hours later, when the last guest went home and the last champagne flute was cleared away, the day ended as it began — with beauty, love, and very happy people."
During the reception, Paltrow swapped her lacey ceremony gown for a Stella McCartney look, a move straight out of Meghan Markle's playbook. However, GP's option was a short caped jumpsuit, while Meghan opted for high-necked gown by the British designer. The final image in the photo diary was simply captioned, "#thefaltrows."
A beautiful day for a beautiful bride.
