First Lady Michelle Obama announced the news on Snapchat on Wednesday, revealing that Stefani will give a musical performance and Mario Batali will serve as the guest chef when the family welcomes Italy’s Prime Minster Matteo Renzi and his wife, Agnese Landini, to the White House. As Stefani’s father is Italian and Batali is an expert on Italian cuisine, these choices make perfect sense.
