Gwen Stefani had an extra special treat for fans at her Tuesday night concert at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit. Between her own hits, the "Make Me Like You" singer brought out her boyfriend, country crooner Blake Shelton, for a surprise performance of their duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart."

Earlier in the day Stefani, 46, dropped a few hints that Shelton might make an onstage appearance by sharing a photo of them rehearsing on Snapchat and 'gramming a few pics of them hanging out backstage with her crew (below).

According to concertgoers, the too-cute couple, who met working as coaches on The Voice, ended the performance with a hug.

Stefani and Shelton co-wrote "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" after embarking on their whirlwind romance earlier this year. In May, Shelton shared how the song came to be on the Today show. "We were just writing it about ... it was hard to kind of let our guards down again, you know what I mean? Just going through some issues, and so that's what the song was even written about," he said.

"It's like, I know something bad is going to happen, because it always does, so let's just get it over with now."
