As a nod to one of our favorite girls on fire (second to Alicia Keys, of course), Sara Bareilles used Katniss Everdeen as inspiration for the tiny twists in her boho-chic waves, while Katy Perry and Colbie Caillat each took the updo route. Perry opted for an oversized knot, and we especially loved how Caillat gave her look extra drama by adding a plait that started at the nape of her neck, and was wound into a ballerina bun. Eager to try your hand at Caillat's embellished updo? The star's hairstylist Torsten Witte began by blowing out her damp strands with a T3 Featherweight Luxe Dryer ($250; t3mircro.com), then locked in the sleek texture with the brand's SinglePass Flat Iron ($160; t3micro.com) before starting on the braid. Taking a section of hair at the nape of her neck, Witte began twisting under her right ear, and continued until he reached the top of her head. Once he secured the plait with an elastic, he pulled the remaining hair and the twist into a ponytail, then wound the entire length around the base to form a loose top knot. A few hair pins and a spritz of hairspray anchored the style, and kept it in place all night. We love it! Get even more Grammy style inspiration by checking out what everyone wore in our gallery.
