Toast Taylor Swift's Grammy Nomination with a "Blank Space"-Inspired Cocktail
In honor of the upcoming Grammy Awards, we’re rolling out a series of pitch-perfect cocktails inspired by this year's nominees for Best Record of the Year. Each drink was dreamed up by Evan Charest, mixologist for the Patina Restaurant Group and the official caterer for the awards show.
In her chart-topping tune “Blank Space,” America’s sweetheart Taylor Swift takes on the role of an emotional serial dater, singing: “’Oh my God, who is she?’ / I get drunk on jealousy / But you'll come back each time you leave / 'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream.” As a play on this sweet-and-sour, night-and-day attitude, Charest created a twist on the classic Whiskey Smash.
“I wanted a drink with a lot of depth, both in body (via the balance of rye whiskey, lemon, and honey) and color (via the blackberries that give a great dark hue) to match the themes of the song,” he says. Try the “Drunk on Jealousy” cocktail for yourself using the recipe below.

Ingredients
2 oz rye whiskey
3/4 oz honey
3/4 lemon
2 to 3 blackberries
