“Up. Town. Funk you up. I said uptown funk you up.” That single song lyric has practically become a mantra for all who have heard and loved Mark Ronson’s record “Uptown Funk.” The incredibly catchy jam, featuring Bruno Mars, was the inspiration for Charest’s “Gon’ Give it to You” cocktail, a riff on the classic Gin Fizz. “I added some apple for body and, to honor the essence of the record, used ginger syrup for a little bit of a kick,” says Charest. Try the recipe below and be prepared to get funky.
