The 2016 American Music Awards will be hosted by none other than supermodel Gigi Hadid and SNL funnyman Jay Pharoah. Although it seems like an unlikely pairing, we think these two will complement each other well, thanks to Hadid's girl-next-door vibes (not to mention gorgeous looks) and Pharoah's natural penchant for comedy, and of course, his knack for impersonations, which Hadid said herself are amazing.

"I'm so excited to host the 2016 AMAs with Jay Pharoah," she said in a release. "Jay is known for his spot-on impressions so I can't wait to take the stage with him to show my goofy side and celebrate this year's nominees!" One of the nominees is Hadid's boyfriend of almost a year now, Zayn Malik, who is up for New Artist of the Year.

Pharoah, too, is excited to be sharing the hosting gig with Hadid: "Can't wait to host the AMAs with the beautiful Gigi Hadid (so much innocence in her eyes) and being in the building with some of my industry friends, who I've probably impersonated at some point I'm sure," he added to the statement. "It's gonna be a fun night!"

Leading the nominations this year is Drake, who is up for a whopping 13 awards. His former flame Rihanna isn't too far behind with seven noms, and Adele and Justin Bieber received five nominations each. Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers tied for third, each receiving four nominations.

The AMAs will be broadcasted live on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Plus, as the AMA winners are selected 100 percent through fan votes, head over to AMAvote.com to make sure your favorite artist wins in their category.
