Gigi Hadid's Quarantine Birthday Looked Better Than My Regular One
The Hadid house is one bouquet away from becoming a botanical garden.
Gigi Hadid celebrated her birthday on Thursday (as did Shakespeare). The model turned 25 (the Bard would’ve been 456). Of course, the celebration looked a little different for Hadid than years past. Considering the quarantine, she forwent her typical star-studded birthday fête, opting instead for a quiet 25th spent at home with her mother Yolanda and sister Bella.
I don’t know about you, but for me 25 was a big one (mentally, emotionally, “I haven’t accomplished enough to be halfway through my 20s!”-y). Perhaps the milestone isn’t quite as daunting when you’re already wealthy and successful, but whatever the case, Hadid seemed to be enjoying her day with her family.
Bella, 23, collected supplies for a “very farmy b-day.” (In case you were puzzled by the adjective “farmy,” the Hadids are currently staying at mom Yolanda’s Pennsylvania farmhouse.) Bagels! Pancakes! Tiara(s)! You know, farm stuff.
Despite the circumstances, Gigi truly collected on the gift front. None of that "why aren't I receiving more birthday wishes?!?!" anxiety for Hadid — that farm house is one bouquet away from turning into a botanical garden with flower deliveries galore (dad Mohamed, brother Anwar and his girlfriend Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn, and Kendall Jenner were among senders).
One of said "prezziiiieeeeees" was oatmeal griddle cake mix!
Oh, and let us please discuss the cake … It’s a bagel. Like, a cake designed to look like a giant bagel. Please, God, let there be cream cheese frosting.
Happiest of birthdays to Ms. Hadid and her burgeoning flower shop.
