Keira Knightley stunned at the L.A. premiere of The Imitation Game with smoldering eyes, luminous skin, and a beautiful rose lip. Read on for all the details straight from the star’s makeup artist, Kate Lee, so you can try her gorgeous beauty look at home.
Lee’s inspiration for the evening? Knightley’s sparkling Chanel ensemble, which was embellished with pale pink crystals—a look the star says evoked a futuristic vibe. “I like that it’s kind of a little bit sci-fi,” she tells InStyle.

The Imitation Game Wins People’s Choice at TIFF 2014Once prepping the actress with a velvety complexion, Lee applied Chanel’s Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Cheeky ($38; nordstrom.com), a bronze rose shade, along her cheekbones for an instant glow. “For the eyes I used a combination of colors from the Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Rivoli ($61; nordstrom.com) starting with the darkest color in the outer third of her eye socket and along the lower lash line,” she adds. “I used the mid-tone for the center of the eyelid and added a slight highlight to the crest of the brow bone using the lightest shade.” She later highlighted the inner corners with the brand’s Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Emerveillé ($36; nordstrom.com).
After grooming those envy-inducing eyebrows with a clear gel, Lee finished things off with a rose-stained lip. “I used Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Marie (available on chanel.com March 2015), which I used as a stain first, blotting and then intensifying the center of the lip,” she says.
