George Clooney's Advice to His Younger Self Will Make You Love Him Even More
The fruits of George Clooney’s labor have led to two Oscars, four Golden Globes, and one Emmy Award, among many other well-earned accolades. And while the 54-year-old actor is one of Hollywood’s most celebrated stars—and husband to the always-stylish Amal Clooney—he maintains a refreshingly humble point of view on his life and career successes. In fact, Clooney’s so down-to-earth, he’s even willing to dish out words of advice that’ll inspire us all.
Inside the L.A. premiere of his latest film, Hail, Caesar!, Monday night in L.A., the handsome star revealed the advice he’d give his younger self: “I think patience because that’s always the thing you don’t have when you’re young because you think everything has to happen immediately,” he told InStyle.
A less-crazed approach to living may be a zen one, but Clooney also makes sure not to pay much attention to the critics. “I would also think, always remember that you’re never going to be as bad as they say you are. You’re never going to be as good when they say you’re good. It’s always somewhere in the middle, and if you find that, you’ll be okay.”
If Clooney says it’ll be all right, we bet it will be.
