The 90-second preview is filled with battle scenes, steamy moments, and promises of world domination, and guys, the “great war” has definitely arrived. “Enemies to the east, enemies to the west, enemies to the south, enemies to the north,” Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) says ominously in the trailer. “Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it,” Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) promises her brother-lover. “We’re the last Lannisters. The last ones who count.” But don’t count Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) out too quickly. “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms, and I will,” she says, appearing to have made her way across the ocean to Westeros. But in case you needed a reminder, the war that matters is not for control of King’s Landing: It’s the war between the living and the dead. “If we don’t put aside our enmities and bound together, we will die, and then it doesn’t matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne,” they’re warned. The trailer ends with one of Daenerys’s dragons flying over troops headed into battle, and those guys weren’t kidding when they said Season 7 would hit us even faster than we’re ready for. Game of Thrones Season 7 Will Move Faster Than Ever Mark your calendars, because July 16 is right around the corner.
