Lilly Pulitzer famously said "Life's a party—dress like it!" This month, just in time for your busy spring social calendar, the fête is heading to Target as the label synonymous with relaxed resort Palm Beach glamour partners with the retailer for one of Target's largest collaborations ever. InStyle got an exclusive first look at the collection for our April issue, on newsstands now, before the collection drops in stores and online April 19th. (The full lookbook is on now).

The lineup is filled with 250 sunny pieces—clothing, accessories, home items, beauty products, and little girls clothes—all of which are instant mood-lifters. We're obsessed with the raffia beach bags, striped towels, neon glassware, giraffe-charm jewelry, eye-popping makeup, and super-adorbs mommy-and-me clothes. Even a hammock is Lilly-fied! "This is all supposed to make you smile, and it's to be enjoyed during the most fun times of your life," says Jane Schoenborn, Pulitzer's VP, who worked with a team of designers to create the collab.

“Lilly knew the resort lifestyle better than anyone else," added Schoenborn of the late designer, who passed away in 2013. "She was surrounded by bright pinks, oranges, greens and citrus yellows, and always worked them into her designs." And if the punchy patterns aren't enough to make you grin, the prices will: The line starts at two bucks. Now that's a true Pulitzer prize.

Splashy patterns feel right at home when you’re lounging by the pool—in fact, the louder, the better. "There's no dress code when you're going for a dip, so you have the freedom to mix patterns," says Schoenborn. The Bridal Shower

“The shift dress is the first style that Lilly created, and it’s become the Palm Beach uniform,” explains Schoenborn. Slip into one of the line’s bright little frocks adorned with cheeky pink flamingos or wildlife creatures to toast the bride-to-be. “The delicate lace gives it a feminine feel. Wear with heels to elongate your legs, or flats for a more runaround vibe.” Our tip: Go all gold for everything: cuffs, necklaces, and charm bracelets. "The metallic hue acts as a neutral against these vibrant prints," says Schoenborn. The Besties Brunch

This breezy jumpsuit packs a one-two punch for a play date with the girls—the long and lean cut slims your silhouette, while the bold palm print makes a playful statement. “It’s a great answer when you just want to throw something on and look fabulous,” says Schoenborn. Contrast your brights: The more vivid, the better. "Pink and green was always one of Lilly's favorite color combos," says Schoenborn.

All items by Lilly Pulitzer for Target, $2—$150; available on April 19 at All apparel available in sizes up to 4X. The bikini shown comes in sizes up to XXL.
