Fergie Performs in a Retro Convertible at Philipp Plein’s Carnival-Themed #MFW Show
Making a stamp on the jam-packed fashion month schedule requires more than just delivering a new selection of runway looks. Perhaps that's why designer Philipp Plein pulled out all the stops at his spring 2017 show in Milan, where he built a candy-colored set replete with an IRL carnival swing.
The pastel-toned runway channeled the atmosphere of Fergie’s “M.I.L.F. $” music video (which starred famous moms Kim Kardashian West, Chrissy Teigen, and Ciara). And after the last model hit the runway, the 41-year-old Grammy winner took to a mic to belt out “Gettin’ Over You,” David Guetta and Chris Willis’s 2010 track that featuring her vocals. She welcomed show guests to “Alice in Ghetto Land” and danced atop a yellow, retro-inspired car driven by a handsome model.
In addition to putting on more than just a fashion show, Fergie, who rocked a white tee with gilded denim cutoffs, over-the-knee gladiator-like heels, and a hardware-adorned jacket, also took the stage with Fat Joe, Plein, and the one and only Paris Hilton. That’s hot.
As for what else went down inside? The models actually took a break from walking the runway and enjoyed a cruise on the rotating swing.
Talk about an epic fashion moment.
