Exclusive Nashville Fashion Details From Costume Designer Susie DeSanto: Season 2, Episode 2

This week our favorite TV country divas stepped up their game and dressed to impress as they met the new head of their music label on the second episode of ABC’s Nashville, and we have all the details! InStyle caught up with costume designer Susie DeSanto to get the exclusive breakdown of our favorite looks from Wednesday night. “I feel like the theme of the episode is that Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is really trying to do whatever she can to sell records, and Rayna (Connie Britton) is trying to be relevant and not let this new guy put her out to pasture,” DeSanto told InStyle. Between Rayna recovering from her car wreck and Juliette trying a more sophisticated look, DeSanto allows their wardrobes to continue to reflect who they are. “Rayna is one of those woman that is always looking really fabulous and has those great pieces in her wardrobe that she can just grab and she never looks like she’s trying.
