News Exclusive! Dancing with the Stars' Karina Smirnoff Talks Last Night's Supernatural-Inspired Costume By Grace Gavilanes Published on November 12, 2013 Pin Share Tweet Email Photo: Adam Taylor/ABC On last night’s Dancing with the Stars, Karina Smirnoff and Corbin Bleu performed a Slow Waltz. “There’s no room for error this week,” Smirnoff said during rehearsals, citing their Viennese Waltz, the Game of Thrones-inspired dance that earned them their lowest score of the season. Bleu wore a sleek black suit, while Smirnoff opted for a white chiffon dress with pale blue accents to help illustrate the inspiration behind this week's routine. “It was designed to represent a spirit that comes back to visit a man who is mourning the loss of his love,” Smirnoff told InStyle.com exclusively. “I wanted the costume to look romantic, elegant, and ethereal.” The dancer’s dress was minimalist, with just a lariat necklace adorning her plunging neckline. "It's the true definition of 'less is more,'" she said. The team earned a 28/30, the second highest score of the night, right behind Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke's 29/30. Shockingly, Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy were eliminated this week, leaving five couples in the ballroom. Tune in next Monday night at 8/7c on ABC for the live results show.
