Like many 20-something celebrity offspring, Ewan McGregor’s eldest daughter Clara is dipping a toe in the acting pool.
The 22-year-old recently accompanied her father to the after-party for Zoe, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday. Clara stood by her actor dad’s side in a glittering peach-striped gown and beige booties, Ewan clad in black button-down shirt, gray jeans, and combat boots.
The young McGregor is hardly new to the spotlight. Just days prior to her outing with dad, Playboy released a racy profile of the aspiring starlet and NYU grad.
In the article, Clara reveals that she long rebelled against following in Ewan’s acclaimed footsteps, but has now accepted that acting is the career path she really, truly wants to take.
That being said, she’s not opposed to inhabiting other roles on set as well. Clara’s latest project has her donning many hats—she’s starring in a short film that she both co-wrote and directed. “I want to make as much of my own content as possible,” she told the publication, citing her father’s love of his job as a motivating factor.
“It helps that I was exposed to really great movies as a kid and seeing my dad love his job,” she said. “All of that contributed to me loving film, but it definitely didn’t just hand me a skill. I try to watch as many movies as I can.”
We have a feeling this won’t be the last we hear from the 22-year-old.
