Someone did, however, and Mendes commented right back, telling the troll that there was a reason for it: she wants to set an example for her daughters. Mendes's past movies include Hitch, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, just to name a few. But her last role was in 2014, when she starred in Lost River. It's 2020 now, meaning Mendes's hiatus has been at least five years, but she's not sweating it. "As a mother now, there are many roles I won't do. "But no worry, I got some side hustles. Ha! Thanks for asking. All the best for 2020." For now, she's happy to focus on her daughters, Esmeralda, 5, and Amada, 3. "I'm just so obsessed with my kids that I don't want to leave them," Mendes told E! News."They're just still so little."
