PSA: Emma Watson is starting a feminist book club. The actress and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador announced the news on her Twitter account yesterday, and as you might expect celebs and fans went wild.
Chicago PD star Sophia Bush immediately responded to Watson's call to action to help the actress pick a name for the newly-formed club, as did thousands of other fans who couldn't help but chime in with hilarious references to her Harry Potter character, Hermione. While Bush's suggestion that the group be called "fEMMAnism" or "fEMMAnismReads" didn't win Watson's final approval, we love the name she ultimately chose.
This morning, Watson announced that the feminist book club will called "Our Shared Shelf," a name submitted by one of her fans. Scroll down to see all of her tweets, and get excited to read with Emma—we know we are!
Hi Team, ❤️ I want to start a feminist book club but so far have only brainstormed 'Feminist Book Club' and 'Emma Watson Book Club'.— Emma Watson (@EmWatson) January 6, 2016
I am almost certain there is a more inspiring name out there.... Does anyone have any thoughts ?! #Emma'sBookClub— Emma Watson (@EmWatson) January 6, 2016
