Emma Stone just filmed her most singing-intensive film yet, but somehow she still thinks that the general public doesn’t want to hear her vocal chops.

The La La Land star described the experience of filming the new musical with Ryan Gosling on Monday's Good Morning America, and she had an interesting response to a question about her go-to karaoke song.

“You know, I weirdly like karaoke so much less now. I’m like, I don’t think anybody needs to hear me get up and sing in a karaoke room,” she said. “The karaoke experience has lost a little luster after all that.”

We're hoping that Stone's newfound karaoke ban doesn't apply to Lip Sync Battles as well, considering she's basically an expert, but James Corden might have a tougher time getting her on "Carpool Karaoke."

So what exactly turned her off of singing live? Possibly the months of rehearsal that Stone and Gosling went through to prepare for singing, dancing, and acting on screen. “It was really fun to learn to ballroom dance and tap dance and work on singing, because we sang live in parts of the movie,” Stone said. “It’s an intense experience, learning to ballroom dance. So it was just great to have a friend there.”

The Cabaret star also had one hang-up about signing onto the film: “The thing that sort of freaked me out was the tone, because there are these scenes where we’re just sitting at a dinner table, having a conversation with each other, and then we’re flying into space in a planetarium in the next scene, so you’re kind of like, ‘How is this going to, you know, be cohesive?’”

We’ll have to wait to find out how it all fits together when the film hits theaters Dec. 9.
