Emily Ratajkowski's Met Gala Sneak Peek Involves Chainmail and a Crop Top

Is Emily Ratajkowski preparing for the Met Gala or a medieval battle?

The model took to Instagram to share a little sneak peek of her Met Gala look with fans, and her half-sleeve of jewel-encrusted silver metal could have passed both for a decadent red carpet showstopper or a piece of historic armor.

Her arm covers her stomach in her matching red crop top and pants set, but it's hard to look anywhere but straight at her bling. You might expect that with such a statement piece, the rest of her outfit will remain simple—except this is the Met Gala, so really anything goes.

Ratajkowski's stylist Emma Jade Morrison shared another pic of the model Sunday night, only this time, she wore a massive silver danging earring.

EmRata's metal-filled unconventional jewelry might seem more fitting for 2016's Met Gala theme—"Manus x Machina: Fashion In an Age of Technology"—but this year, the red carpet will be divinely inspired. The 2018 theme is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and The Catholic Imagination," so needless to say, it'll be interesting to see how celebs interpret it.

Thankfully, Ratajkowski's no red carpet newbie. The model has been a mainstay at the Met Gala, and this will be her fourth year in a row attending, so it's expected that things will go smoothly.

Last year, she wore Topshop, but there's no word yet on whether her new arm candy will be paired with the retailer for another Met Gala round. Either way, we'll be watching!
